Logging Off

There is only one correct way to exit the system. It is very important to log off at the end of each session before closing the window or proceeding to a different URL so that the old session is cleaned up. If you encounter a problem while logging off or are unsure whether you have logged off from the system, close your browser or browser tab to end the session.
Note:
Note: Application locks can have either of the following scenarios:
  • When you have opened an application, the lock is acquired and will not be released until you move to another page or log off.
  • Locked items are released when the session expires, you log off, or close your browser window.

The default lock lasts for five minutes. That is, you will receive an unlock prompt every five minutes if you keep the browser open and do not perform any action. The unlock duration is a setting that is configured during installation. Administrators can explicitly unlock applications, and configure the unlock durations. Usually, the default lock duration is set in minutes, for example, between five and 30 minutes.

Important: When your session expires due to inactivity, the system discards any unsaved changes and navigates you back to the Log On page where you must re-enter your user name and password.
  1. From the top-level menu, click Log off to log off from the system.
