Changing User Settings

Administrators with the proper permissions assign a user name when creating a user. Use the Security > Users > Edit <user> option to change your role or group assignments.

Administrators can edit the settings for a user (such as the name and email address). However, the user name cannot be changed. A typical installation synchronizes users from an Active Directory or other LDAP repository so that settings such as user names and passwords are managed outside of Origination Manager with an external LDAP source. Administrators with the proper permissions can change a wide range of settings (such as roles and groups) for users other than themselves by using the Security > Users and Security > Groups options. Administrators use the FICO Application Studio Designer to add new roles and then use the Application Processing Module user interface to add that role to groups.

Note: Password management against the LDAP server is provided by an external program (such as Active Directory or Apache DS) not provided within the Application Processing Module. You will need to manage and maintain passwords using an external program of your choice.
