Page Customization and Configuration
Using the
Domain Values and
Configure Search pages, administrators with the proper permissions can customize and configure information that the system displays in drop-down lists and fields on certain
Application Processing Module administration pages
Note that any changes made to domain values and search fields are effective immediately in the system.
Administrators can also use the Translation page to configure the translation of queues and a limited amount of static entities for selected locales.
To create or customize other UI pages, components, and workflows, your technicians (such as data architects, system administrators, and interface developers) can use the configuration tools and editor in the FICO Application Studio Designer. After the technicians create and design your application, it can be deployed and tested on the Platform Server.

- Covered Topics
- Configuring Domain Values
Administrators with the proper permissions can create, modify, delete, activate, and deactivate the available domain values. A "domain value" is a set of information about possible values that can appear in a UI field or XML transaction payload element. The information includes the actual value, the name of the value, and a description of the value, among other items. - Customizing Search Fields
Data architects can customize the list of search filter fields by using FICO Application Studio Designer to extend entities in theom_apm_consumer
, and theom_apm_sb
modules for the Consumer and the Small Business templates respectively. - Managing Translations
Administrators with the proper permissions can download and upload translation files for the display of runtime resources used in creating queues and menus. - Encrypting Fields
Database columns used to store selected field values can be encrypted. The Application Processing Module only supports database level encryption for protection-at-rest and SSL (HTTPS) for protection-in-transit.
