Administrators with the proper permissions can download and upload translation files for the display of runtime resources used in creating queues and menus.
Queue resources include queue, search, and application processing error column labels and search filter criteria values. Menu resources include names of items in the administration navigation pane and names of domain values. By entering translated values in the downloaded files and uploading them, you can translate items for the locales used by your system
Note: Before using the
Application Processing Module to manage queue and menu resource translations, ensure that the required locales (languages) have been added to your installation (based on your specific contractual terms). If additional locales are later required, contact your
FICO Client Partner.
The translatable resources are contained in five Excel spreadsheets per locale:
APMMenus—Contains labels used for administration navigation pane and domain value menu names.
AttributeResources—Contains labels used in queue creation.
ApplicationStatus,
BaseApplicantType, and
BaseIdentificationType—Contain static entity values used in drop-down lists for search filter criteria.
When translating these queue and static entity resources, you generate a resource bundle for a desired locale, download it, modify the spreadsheets in it with translated values, and upload the resource bundle. Then you can log off and log back in using the desired locale to view the changes from an administrator's or end-user's point of view.
Application Processing Module administrators will be able to see the translated values in the fields and drop-down lists on the
Search,
Configure Processing Errors,
Create Queues, and
Queues > Edit <Queue Name> pages, as well as the menu items on the
System Admin and
Domain Value pages.
Application Processing Module end users will be able to see the translated values on the
Search Application,
Application Processing Errors, and
<Queue Name> pages.
In the administration navigation pane, click
Translation.
Click
Generate string resource bundle to create the queue and static entity translation spreadsheets.
Select the locale for which you want to download translations from the
Download resource bundle drop-down list and click
Download.
You can only select from the locales that have been set up in FICO Application Studio.
.
Save the ZIP file to your computer.
The default name of the file is
StaticResources_<LocaleCode>.zip. You can save the file with this name or a different one.
Extract the files and open the spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
Enter translated label values for the selected locale in the
Label column of each spreadsheet, save your changes, and close the files.
For example, here are excerpts of application status values in English and Spanish:

Zip the modified files back up into a bundle.
The name of the ZIP file that you upload does not need to be the same as the name as the file you downloaded in step 3.
In the
Upload resource bundle field, click
Browse, locate the ZIP file, and click
Upload.
It does not matter which locale is selected in the
Download resource bundle list, because the resources have unique identifiers for each locale, as shown in the preceding figures.
The system displays a confirmation message that the resources have been uploaded.
After uploading the resource files, log off.
When you log back on to the system, select the locale used for translation.
View the changes on the
System Admin,
Domain Values,
Search,
Configure Processing Errors,
Create Queues, and
Queues > Edit <Queue Name> administrative pages. You can also find the translated values on the
Search (Application),
Application Processing Errors, and
<Queue Name> pages.
Translated static entity values appear in the search filter criteria. For example, the following figure represents application status criteria for the Spanish locale.

Repeat this procedure for additional locales as needed.
