Administrative Tasks
System and Security Administrators use the
Application Processing Module for tasks such as implementing security, configuring application processing controls, managing queues and tenants, customizing and configuring web pages, and configuring broadcast messaging.
- Covered Topics
- Application Processing Module Security
The Application Processing Module provides several security mechanisms to protect the system from unauthenticated access and limit user access depending on assigned groups. Security administrators use the FICO Application Studio Designer to create roles and use the Application Processing Module to create groups and assign them to users. - Setting up CRAs
The Application Processing Module has been designed to obtain and use consumer credit reports and online credit bureau scores from the following major US Credit Reporting Agencies (CRAs): Equifax US, Experian, and TransUnion US. - Setting up Business Bureaus
The Application Processing Module provides an example configuration to enable connectivity to third party business bureaus. If you require business bureau data, you will need to implement new integrations to business bureaus using FICO Application Studio. - Synchronous Workflows
Synchronous workflows are available in the synchronous consumer line of business. Synchronous workflows are the custom workflows that you can configure to enable synchronous decision-making on credit applications. Synchronous workflows start the minute an application is submitted. In addition to the preconfigured workflow templates provided with the Application Processing Module, you can now configure custom workflows to process credit applications as per your business needs. The synchronous workflows are exposed as web services and are scalable. Multiple applications can be processed simultaneously. - Application Processing Controls
System administration includes setting up score cutoff values and the configuration and maintenance of the Application Processing Module tables for products, product categories, rates, and fees. - Queue Management
A queue is a virtual list of applications that has been filtered and ordered using a set of criteria defined as part of a corresponding queue definition. - Page Customization and Configuration
Using the Domain Values and Configure Search pages, administrators with the proper permissions can customize and configure information that the system displays in drop-down lists and fields on certain Application Processing Module administration pages - Document Templates
Document templates are used to define the layout for letters and other documents that are generated within the Application Processing Module. - Reports
The Application Processing Module provides users with five standard reports.
